South East Contractors Ltd supported Buckingham Group on the Dover Western Docks Cargo Centre, delivering a comprehensive electrical installation package as part of the port’s wider redevelopment works. The project involved the installation of primary and secondary electrical distribution systems to support the operation of a large-scale cargo handling facility.

Working within a live port environment, the team coordinated closely with other trades to ensure safe delivery while maintaining programme and operational requirements.

Scope of Works

• Installation of multiple high-level busbar systems forming the main distribution backbone across the cargo hall

• Installation of galvanised containment systems throughout the facility

• Sub main cabling and SWA terminations into MCCB panels and distribution boards

• Extensive small power and lighting installations across operational, welfare, and back-of-house areas

• Full testing, labelling, and system handover in line with project requirements
